Build a strong and supportive community
- Organize at least two fun/fund-raising events for the PLMS community
- Provide parent volunteer support to PLMS teachers, staff and programs
- Recognize our incredible staff through Staff Appreciation activities
- Provide supplemental emergency supplies
Communicate
- Develop a new website that provides a central location for PLMS PTSA related information and activities
- Send weekly and monthly updates via email
- Keep parents informed and mobilized on legislation and district-wide issues that affect our schools and communities, including boundary and transition activities.
Engage our children
- Provide support for PLMS Homework Club and library programs
- Provide PLMS with financial grants that will broaden our children’s learning experience
Provide Parent Education opportunities with particular emphasis on middle school issues
- Seek to provide two Parent Education speakers
- Communicate district-wide “Parent Ed” opportunities to our community
Outreach
- Promote and support the Issaquah Schools Foundation
- Provide support to the Issaquah School District as needed
- Support humanitarian efforts on behalf of children
Support the mission of the Washington State PTA
- Achieve 100% membership
- Support training opportunities for PTSA leadership
- Adhere to “Best Practices” as defined by the Washington State PTA
